Trust is the roots of Alafya and includes trusting us to do what it takes with your information. Three main values guide us in the development of our products and services. These values should help you better understand how we think about your information and your privacy.
Your information belongs to you
We carefully analyze the types of information we need to provide our services and we try to limit the information we collect to what we have really need. Whenever possible, we delete this information when we we don’t need it anymore. In designing and improving our products, our engineers work closely with our privacy and security to build with privacy in mind. In all these works, our guiding principle is that your information belongs to you and we aim to only use your information only to your advantage.
We protect your information from others
If a third party requests your personal information, we will refuse to share it unless
you give us permission or we are legally required to. When we
are legally required to share your personal information, we will notify you
in advance, unless we are prohibited by law.
We help partners meet their compliance obligations privacy
Many partners using our products and services do not benefit from a team
dedicated to confidentiality, and it is important to us to help them respect their
confidentiality obligations. To do this, we try to create our products and
services so that they can be easily used in a life-friendly way private. We also provide detailed FAQs, documentation and books white papers covering the most important privacy topics, and respond to privacy-related questions we receive.
WHY WE PROCESS YOUR INFORMATION
We generally process your information when we need to do so to fulfill a
contractual obligation (for example, to process your subscription payments to use
the Alafya world platform), or when we or someone we work with need to use your personal information for a reason related to their business (for example, to provide you with a service). These “legitimate interests” include:

considered potential risks to your privacy – for example, by providing a clear transparency about our privacy practices, giving you control over your personal information where applicable, limiting the information we retain, limiting what we do with your information, who we send your information to, how long we retain your information or the technical measures we use to protect your information.
YOUR RIGHTS OVER YOUR INFORMATION
If you buy something on our platform and wish to exercise these rights on the
information relating to your purchase, you must contact us directly. Please note that if you send us a request relating to your personal information, we need to make sure it is you before we can respond. To do this, we may ask to see documentation verifying your identity, which we will reject or will accept after verification.
If you are not satisfied with our response to a request, you can contact us to
solve the problem and not the independent field delivery agents in different
countries or delivery partner services. You also have the right to contact your
local data protection or privacy authority at any time. Finally, since there is no common understanding of what a “Do Not follow”, we do not respond to these signals in any particular way.
WHERE WE SEND YOUR INFORMATION
We are a Zambian company, but we work with and process data on people around the world. To operate our business, we may send your personal information outside of your state, province or country, including the United States. This data may be subject to the laws of the countries where we send it. When we send your information across borders, we take steps to protect your information and we try to only send your information to countries that have strict laws in terms of data protection.
HOW WE PROTECT YOUR INFORMATION
Our teams work tirelessly to protect your information, and to ensure the security
and the integrity of our platform. We also have independent auditors who assess the security of our data storage and the systems that process the information
financial. However, we all know that no method of transmission over the Internet, or method of electronic storage, cannot be 100% secure. This means we don’t
cannot guarantee the absolute security of your personal information.

provision of our services. REFUND
If you wish to cancel, you must present us with the material proof of your cancellation either in delivery time exceeded by 30 days or of a product damaged during the reception in photo or not in accordance with the order. The repayment period is made at after 30 days at most 45 days through the banking channel, check or mobile money official of our platform. But the exchange of a product at the same value is also accepted after an estimated study of the previous order.
